About Us

Andrea Henderson nonprofit attorney and lawyer

Collaborations Law was formed by Andrea Henderson based on her deep commitment to public service and support to volunteers who serve Oregon on boards and commissions.

Andrea served for 18 years as the Executive Director of the Oregon Community College Association, an organization whose mission is to support the work of the local community college board members on throughout the state.  In this role, she helped board members understand their roles and responsibilities as a board member and how to help their board to be a high functioning board designed to set strategic direction and policy for the colleges.  She also reported to a 34-member board providing them strategic

advice and support which gives her direct knowledge of how executive directors can best create a strong working relationship with their board.  Andrea has conducted numerous trainings and workshops to board members at both the state and national level.

Andrea has a J.D. from Willamette University College of Law, a B.S. in political science from Oregon State University, and a certificate in Disruptive Innovation from Harvard Business Online.  She has also completed graduate level course work in public policy, leadership, and conflict resolution.  Andrea teaches Higher Education Law to doctoral students at Oregon State University.  She lives in Wilsonville and spends her free time enjoying the scenery in this beautiful state, writing poetry, and playing with her dog, Seamus.
